What is the Guardian Anti-Choking Device?

The Guardian is a portable suction device designed to help clear airway obstructions in a choking emergency when standard methods like back blows or abdominal thrusts haven’t worked.

Who can use the Guardian?

The device is designed for use by adults or older children able to follow simple instructions. We recommend reading the included instructions thoroughly and practicing on a mannequin or training device if possible.

Can I use it on myself?

Yes! The Guardian is designed so that a conscious choking person can place it over their own mouth and nose and create the suction themselves.

Does it replace the Heimlich maneuver?

No. Always attempt traditional methods first. Use the Guardian only if back blows and abdominal thrusts fail, or if you cannot perform them.

How do I clean the device?

The Guardian device is reusable. It comes with a replaceable one-way valve and mask. After use, simply replace the mask and clean the device as instructed.

Do you ship internationally?
